Merry Christmas to All from Everyone at Little Haven
A Heartfelt Thank You to every one of our members and generous supporters who helped fill our stocking again this year.
In 2018 our team of specialist nurses, social workers, respite carers and complementary therapists have shared the care for 225 palliative patients, provided bereavement follow up and support to a further 254 family members and helped ease the burden for many others through their cancer treatments. We’ve farewelled 134 patients, helping to fulfill their end of life choices, assisting their families to provide dignified care to meet their dying loved ones preferred place of death. Patients of all ages—some with large and loving families supporting them and some our nurses their only support and social contact.
Quite simply without our generous caring community we could not have provided the 24/7 support needed to all in our community going through the toughest of times. A compassionate community caring for our own.
A very Merry Christmas to all our volunteers, service club members, supporting businesses and generous individual donors. May your good deeds come back to you in spades in 2019.
Our thoughts are with all families facing Christmas without their loved ones by their sides this year. May the spirit of Christmas sneak in and provide comfort to even the saddest of hearts.
