On Saturday evening the 3rd of June, Little Haven’s CEO Sue Manton attended the 43rd Changeover Dinner of the Lions Club of Gympie South. The event was held at the Gympie South Bowls Club, with lovely dinner prepared and served by the dedicated ladies from the Bowls Club. It was a good evening of camaraderie, honouring those who have worked selflessly for the benefit of our local community.

Among the notable attendees, were Local Member Tony Perrett MP and his wife Michelle, Federal Member Llew O’Brien MP and his wife Sharon, and Gympie Regional Councillors, Cr Bruce Devereaux & Cr Jess Milne. Their presence was a testament to the importance of the work that Lions Club of Gympie South Inc. does for our community.

The night was special for President Rob White and the incoming committee of the Lions Club of Gympie South Inc. as they were congratulated on their new roles. Their commitment to the club and its mission promises to bring in fresh ideas and renewed energy

A highlight of the evening was Lion Ray Zerner’s recognition for his 40 years of service to the club. His dedication, loyalty and relentless efforts were honoured, setting a great example for newer club members. Another heartfelt congratulations went to Lion Joan Adcock, whose service to the club was also recognized.

The Changeover Dinner, a celebration of community and selfless service, served as a reminder of the strength of unity and the power of perseverance. As we continue to work together, we look forward to many more years of success and service to our community.
