Yesterday it was so lovely to see Kelly (our energizer bunny) with our newest member of staff Gary, heading out the door to begin their patient visits, both looking so bright and colourful. I had to take a picture to share with you all.
What a pleasure to have Gary join our team, having experienced first hand his compassion as the Nurse Manager of The Sunshine Hospice, when it unfortunately closed its inpatient facility last year we were quick to try and lure Gary north. Gary brings with him a wealth of palliative care experience, a MacMillan nurse in the UK who worked with the founder of the palliative care movement, Dame Cicely Saunders.
Kelly joined Little Haven as a newly graduated RN with many years working as an assistant nurse in the aged care sector. With a computer like knowledge of pharmacology she is the go to for medication advice and wound care and now along with caring for our patients Kelly assists with rostering and nursing policies.
