LHPC Clinical Coordinator Bronwyn McFarlane and Manager Sue Manton met with Dr Louise Welch Director and Sharon Adams Nurse practitioner SCSPCS – re “Difficulties associated with limited funding acknowledged for both services”. Outcomes from the meeting as summarised by Dr Welch included review of guidelines for funding / need for GP referral to SCSPCS to access scripting / improvement in discharge and admission process from SCHHS facilities to Little Haven.
Little Haven has a deed of standing order with the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service for provision of community based palliative care, however last year funding for our care was just $50,197 representing just 5% of expenses.
