This week August 17–25 is Seniors Week and I would like to take the chance to thank whole heartedly the wonderful seniors who are the backbone of our organisation.
Little Haven’s volunteers hit well above the 65 + average age but prove age is no barrier with their ability for hard work and enormous sense of community. During this week our seniors will be working their last week in the completely volunteer coordinated and run highly successful POP Up shop, or selling raffle tickets which is almost a full year commitment, whilst many others will be assisting the nurses providing care, both in the chemo unit and in patients homes where they give respite support and companionship.
Thank You Little Haven Seniors – You all deserve all the accolades you receive.
