Little Haven Palliative Care Inc.
Community Service & Haven House Inpatient Unit
Little Haven is committed to providing safe, high?quality, person?centred palliative care to people in the Gympie region — in their homes, in the community, and at Haven House.
We strive for excellence through compassion, dignity, respect, and a strong culture of continuous improvement.
Our Quality Management System (QMS) ensures that all services — community, inpatient, bereavement, allied health, and volunteer programs — are delivered safely, consistently, and in alignment with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
We demonstrate our commitment to quality by:
- partnering with patients, families, carers, and our community
- maintaining effective clinical governance across Little Haven and Haven House
- ensuring staff and volunteers are trained, supported, and competent
- using evidence?based practice and clear documentation
- monitoring risks, incidents, feedback, and audit results
- responding openly and promptly to concerns
- continually improving our services through learning and reflection
Little Haven’s model of care is recognised for delivering compassionate, evidence?based palliative care that meets the needs of our community.
We encourage all stakeholders — patients, families, staff, volunteers, and partners — to participate in our quality system by identifying, reporting, and contributing to improvements.
Our Quality Policy and Quality Objectives are reviewed annually and are available to all interested parties.
