It is with sadness we acknowledge the passing of Dr David Nimmo – Little Haven Palliative Care life member
Dr Nimmo was a well known and highly respected long-term Gympie GP and a tireless community supporter. Including being the first president of Gympie’s Meals on Wheels, long-time member of the Lions Club and life member of Little Haven Cooloola – Sunshine Coast Palliative Care Inc, the organisation he helped to shape to what it is today.
Dr Nimmo passed away peacefully at his Noosa Heads home on Tuesday, January 23, at the age of 90 years.
As a long term committee member he has always maintained an interest in the organisation and this continued support was very much appreciated.
He leaves a huge legacy and will be remembered with great respect in our community.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his devoted wife Eleanor, his three sons Peter, John and Andrew and their wives, his grand children and great grand children.
On behalf of the President, Committee, Staff and Volunteers of Little Haven Palliative Care
Dr Nimmo will be fare-welled at 12 noon on Saturday Feb 3rd at Drysdale Tewantin Chapel
